Say what!?! You can run your Triumph, BSA or Norton without a battery? Yes you can, save that your charging system is up to snuff, so if your rotor or stator is on it's last leg you better address your charging system first. You can run this capacitor in line with a battery to help with starting, or as a backup for a dead battery, or you can remove your battery and this capacitor will provide the juice needed as you kick it through to run your bike. Without a battery your lights will only work with the bike running, as your rotor & stator produce the power for your lighting system. This capacitor is a replacement for the original Lucas 2MC part #54170009. Refer to the factory Triumph wiring diagram in the image gallery below.
