Original Item: One Only! You may remember Staley Baker in his magnificent role in the Film  ZULU as Lieutenant Chard, well he was a ROYAL ENGINEER. Michael Caine and the others were of the 24th Foot, known as the "SOUTH WALES BORDERS". Here is a classic original early Royal Engineers Blue Cloth Helmet complete with Regimental Helmet plate, Spiked top mount and chained chin scales. Leather and silk lining somewhat damaged from age however all contained in the Original steel Transit Case with orginal Owner's name engraved on brass plaque: "E.W.C.LANDIS ESQ. ROYAL ENGINEERS". Well worthy of research, this helmet comes from the last decades of Queen Victoria's Reign when Great Britain still had it's world wide Empire.
